PRP Facial &
PRP Facelift
A PRP Facial® or Facelift® at Belle Marin uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a concentrated portion of your own blood that is chock-full of potent growth factors and healing properties. Applied to skin, PRP spurs new collagen and elastin growth for dramatic improvements to your skin’s tone, texture, and radiance. For even more rejuvenation, we also offer the most concentrated form of PRP, called platelet-rich fibrin matrix (PRFM). Made through a special concentration process in our office, PRFM is stabilized to afford longer-lasting benefits than PRP. Both PRP treatments are highly effective, and we will help you determine which treatment is optimal for your unique goals.
During the PRP/PRFM Facelift, we carefully inject PRP into key areas of the face to replenish lost volume, boost blood flow and stimulate cellular renewal from within for a wide range of age-defying improvements.
A PRP or PRFM facelift in Mill Valley can help:
• Replenish Lost Facial Volume
• Smooth Lines and Wrinkles
• Diminish Pigmentation Irregularities
• Even Skin Tone
• Tighten Skin
• Brighten Dull Skin
The PRP Facial or PRFM Facial
A PRP Facial is a less invasive skin rejuvenation treatment. Rather than injecting PRP into the skin, a PRP Facial applies PRP over the skin. To encourage the skin’s absorption of PRP, the PRP Facial utilizes microneedling, a skin renewing treatment that creates micro treatment channels in skin, to soak up every last drop of PRP’s potent growth factors for luminous, show-stopping results.
The PRP Facial in Mill Valley helps improve:
• Crow’s Feet
• Dark Undereye Circles
• Fine Lines Around the Mouth
• Dull, Rough, Grey Skin Tone and Texture
• Sun Damaged Skin
• Acne Scarring
• Crepey Skin in the Eye, Neck, and Décolletage
FAQs: PRP Facelifts and PRP Facials in Mill Valley, CA
What happens during a PRP Facelift in Marin County, CA?
We will take a few moments to draw your blood, while also applying a topical numbing cream to your face to ensure your comfort. We will then place your blood into a centrifuge, a special machine that separates out PRP, the potent growth factors. Last, but not least, we will carefully inject PRP into strategic areas of your face, triggering your body’s natural healing response to generate healthy new collagen and elastin.
What happens during a PRP Facial in Marin County?
We will draw your blood, using a centrifuge to separate the PRP. Our next step is performing microneedling to create the perfect canvas for PRP. The tiny holes created by microneedling enable maximum penetration of PRP’s revitalizing growth factors. We will then gently coat your face with PRP, allowing it to fully soak in for optimal rejuvenating benefits.
Is there downtime with PRP facelifts?
With any injection, there is typically some swelling and redness at the injection sites, but this should subside within hours or a day after treatment. You will be able to return to your normal activities soon after treatment, but you may want to rest at home for a day or two, depending on your preference.
Is there downtime with PRP facials?
You will experience overall redness of your skin after treatment as a result of the microneedling. Within a day or two, the redness will subside and you may notice a sandpaper texture to your skin. This sandpaper texture will give way within a week to reveal refreshed, luminous skin with continued improvements in the weeks following your treatment.
How long do the benefits of a PRP Facelift or Facial last?
PRP revitalizes skin from deep within, which means it provides long-lasting, age-defying improvements. You’ll notice optimal results two to three months following your treatment, with benefits lasting up to a year or two, depending on your body’s unique response.
Is PRP right for me?
PRP is entirely natural, using your own blood to provide rejuvenating benefits to your skin. Because it’s your own blood, there’s no risk of any adverse or allergic reactions. We can help you determine if PRP is suitable for you during your personal consultation.
