- Uneven tone
- Pigmentation irregularities
- And more!
Microneedling for Hair Restoration
In addition to its benefits for skin rejuvenation, microneedling can also be used to promote hair growth.
When performed on the scalp, microneedling creates micro-channels that stimulate the hair follicles and enhance the absorption of hair growth serums.
At Belle Marin Aesthetic Medicine, we recommend pairing microneedling treatments with at-home use of Plated Hair Serum.
This powerful serum is formulated with Renewosome Technology and a proprietary blend of scalp-nurturing ingredients to increase the appearance of hair’s density, thickness, volume, and overall appearance.

FAQs: Traditional microneedling in Mill Valley, CA
What is traditional microneedling?
Traditional microneedling is a highly effective skin-renewing treatment that gently penetrates skin with tiny needles, creating very small holes that trigger the skin’s natural healing response. As new collagen and elastin grow and gradually fill in these tiny holes, the skin reveals an intensely refreshed look with a wide range of improvements, from diminished acne scarring and wrinkles to more even skin tone and brightness. Microneedling can be combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or the Belle Transform PRX-T33® Peel for an intense boost of benefits.
What happens during a traditional microneedling treatment?
Prior to your traditional microneedling session, we will apply a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort. We will then gently administer microneedling to your skin using a small, hand-held device containing tiny needles.
If you are undergoing a PRP Facial®, we will apply PRP to your skin during your microneedling session. The fresh micro holes created by your microneedling session are the perfect canvas for PRP, enabling potent growth factors to deeply penetrate the skin. Revitalizing PRP is a perfect addition to both traditional microneedling or RF microneedling for an overall boost of age-defying benefits.
If you are undergoing traditional microneedling to erase stretch marks, we recommend applying PRX-T33 skin treatment to the area before your session. PRX-T33, when applied as instructed, will raise lesions before microneedling to target and eliminate stretch marks (with repeated treatments as advised).
